Growing up with albinism in a fractured Montreal home, Peter Ash (founder and CEO of UTSS) knew what it meant to be different. But he could never have imagined the nightmare faced by children with albinism (albinos) in Tanzania – feared as “ghosts,” hunted by witch doctors, and forced into hiding to survive. When a BBC exposé revealed the truth, Peter felt compelled to act, beginning a journey that would change his life and theirs.
